In July, Prime Video delivered one of the month’s most underrated movies: Heads of State. This month, it’s hoping to give audiences another banger with The Pickup, a star-studded heist comedy from the director of the Ride Along and Fantastic Four movies.
As per the streaming platform, “a routine cash pickup takes a wild turn when two mismatched armored-truck drivers, Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson), are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by savvy mastermind Zoe (Palmer).”
“As chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps getting worse,” the synopsis adds.
The Map That Leads to You

Based on J.P. Monninger’s novel, the film follows Heather (Cline), a young woman traveling Europe with friends before starting her perfectly planned life. A chance meeting with Jack (Apa) sparks an unexpected romance that leads to deep emotional discovery. As secrets and life choices test their bond, her path changes forever.
Night Always Comes
Vanessa Kirby has just made her debut in the MCU as the Fantastic Four’s Sue Storm. Years after turning in one of the greatest performances of the decade in Netflix’s Pieces of a Woman, she has returned to the streaming service for a new thriller.

The whodunnit is a staple of fiction, whether it’s the enduringly secretive plot of The Mousetrap, Poirot’s moustache-twirling mysteries, or Benoit Blanc’s Knives Out movies. This August, Netflix will drop one of its most anticipated contributions to the subgenre: The Thursday Murder Club.
Directed by Chris Columbus (Harry Potter, Mrs Doubtfire) and based on Richard Osman’s hit book, the movie follows a group of retirees who solve murders in their spare time for fun… until they find themselves embroiled in a real case.
