There are a large number of possible party combinations inStar Wars: Hunters, each of them with pros and cons. Many times in random team play, you will not be able to have any input in what team composition you have. But,there are decisions you can make to improve your team’s chances, and, if you do have friends to play with, you can compose a strong team to dominate the battlefield.
There are currently13 possible characters to play as inStar Wars: Hunters. That can make it equally difficult to compose a team with benefits, particularly as Hunters who are less good on their own arebetter in a team and can boost that teams chances for survival. With a little planning and a little coordination, you can pick a team combination that will allow you to win.

Star Wars: Hunters Review: Good But Not Galaxy-Shattering
Star Wars: Hunters is a great take on a Star Wars-themed arena battler and is a lot of fun, but there isn’t much about it that stands out otherwise.
Tips For Choosing Characters In Random Matches
Balance Is Key
Joining random matches can be hard at the start of the game, particularly withlimited character options. However, there are possibilities for creating a strong team from the start. This is helpful asmany of the starting Hunters are also some of the strongest.
Players cannot pick the same character, which does help make teams slightly more balanced right away.

For new players, if you are given a choice, picking from among the early unlocks is bestif you pick the one you are most comfortable with. Once you are more familiar with the game, look at what the other players are choosing or hoping to choose, as you can see what they have highlighted before they pick.Try to balance out the team, ensuring that there are not too many of one type of character on each team.
This means if there are already two Tank characters, pick either Damage or Support, whichever has not been selected already. Two Tank and Two Support characters are less likely to be successful than a more balanced mix of all three classes. That being said, with only three classes, one class will have two Hunters filling the role. It is generally better to pick two Tanks or two Damage characters than to pick two Supports.

That is the best you may usually dowhen playing matches with groups of strangersand no chat system. At the end of matches, you can invite people to join your friend list, making it easier to form groups more intuitively. Playing with friends will allow you to havemore control over the team combination and possible outcomes.
Early Game Team Composition
Team Building Exercise
For players just starting without many Hunters unlocked, this is a good possible team composition. As Aran Tal is unlocked differently inStar Wars: Hunters,he is not included in these teamsbut could be slotted in for other Damage characters listed.
Zaina
Support
This is agreat team combination at any point, but particularly in the early game when fewer people have access to later Hunters. It is an extremely popular choice as well for that very reason. Zaina in this grouping is going towant to support Sentinel specifically. He will be very hard to kill and Zaina can keep him alive and stay less vulnerable herself when she’s able to get a safe point behind his shield.
In the meantime,Grozz and Imara are both less vulnerable on their ownif they need to capture points. Additionally, Grozz can easily handle enemies without much issue, allowing him to take control of various situations andstop enemies from overwhelming the map. Imara may be a little more vulnerable, but she can stick close to Sentinel as well in battles that do not ask Hunters to split up as much, such as inmaps inStar Wars: Hunterswhere you just have to have more kills than your opponent.

Later Game Team Combinations
Removing Weaknesses
Once you have amassed the fullroster of characters inStar Wars: Hunters, you can make more nuanced decisions aboutwhere and when to play certain characters. The advice for random games remains the same, but you might be able to tailor play even more with more options. However, for those able to pick a team combination, here is one suggested team composition:
Skora
Close-range characters tend to have a harder timeinStar Wars: Hunters, but having a character like Diago that can protect Rieve at long-range can make the difference. Sentinel can continue to do his thing and shield Rieve from damage up close, and Skora can help keep them all alive. Skora, of all the characters in this team-up,can likely be replaced with a different Support character.
Another possible team-up will involve more Tank characters to support a high-damage output.
With this build, you still have a Support character to keep everyone healthy, butCharr and Sentinel together can be very hard to kill. Both of them can also do heavy damage on their own, keeping Imara alive and allowing her to do her heavy damage ultimate. This allows your team to do a lot of damage and bequite annoyingly difficult to damage.
All that said, a lot of the team compositionwill be determined by your playstyle preferencesand those of your teammates. There is no wrong team, although it would be better to avoid stacking too many Support characters on one team. Keeping things somewhat balanced is the best way to create a strong team inStar Wars: Hunters.
