Black Ops 6 revives trickshots with most unlikely weapon

Black Ops 6has revived the time-honored tradition of trickshotting inCall of Dutythanks to the return of a surprising weapon from BO3.

Trick shots have always been an integral part of CoD history. Ever since the MW2 days, players have been keen to share their wildest plays, from crossmap throwing knife kills to 360 no-scopes on Search and Destroy.

However, as the series has evolved into a more realistic shooter and sniping has become less popular in multiplayer, the trend has begun to die out. Luckily, though, Black Ops 6 brings it back with the help of theSector D1.3

Trickshotting is alive in BO6 with Sector D1.3

The Sector was first introduced back in Black Ops 3, as a quirky secondary weapon that fires sharp discs capable of one-shotting enemies. It made a comeback in BO6 Season 2 as part of the TMNT event, including a Ricochet Blade ammo type that lets you bounce shots off multiple walls that was later buffed.

This has given way to a new wave of players trying out trickshots in matches and social media has seen an influx of posts showing off crazy kills.

One example, seen above, shows ‘SpawnTubing’ hitting a ridiculous shot from the other side of the map to clutch up a round on Search and Destroy. They fired a blade outside of the map, only for it to rebound and hit an enemy on the opposite end of Lowtown.

That’s not the only example, either. ‘Ghost Dices’ shared a clip from another S&D match of Extraction where they secured the final kill by firing a couple of blades into the middle building, expecting very little in return.

However, one landed a direct hit after ricocheting off a barrel, the ground, and the back wall, much to the delight of the rest of his party.

These are just a couple of the trickshots that players have managed to pull off, with plenty more popping up across X and Reddit all the time.

Of course, there are those who have criticized the Sector D1.3 and howfrustrating it can be to face on smaller maps like Stakeout. But while it remains divisive, it’s breathed new life into a Call of Duty tradition that was on the verge of dying out.
