However,her secret identity as the gossip columnist threatens to tear the couple apart, both from external factors (considering the people who already know about the secret) and from internal ones, as Penelope’s double life begins to cause her immense guilt.

Is The Julie Andrews-Voiced Narrator Going Away?
As this trailer emphasizes, Julie Andrews' voice-only part in theBridgertoncastasthe fictional Lady Whistledown is inherently tied to Penelope Featherington’s writing. The trailer also seems to showcase that Penelope’s secret will come out by the end of the finale. This is exceedingly likely to happen, as this is something that occurred in the original books as well. On the page, Lady Whistledown was retired after Penelope’s public exposure.
Because of this, future romances of theBridgerton familythat are covered in upcoming seasons of the Netflix showmight not feature the now-iconic Julie Andrews narration. This could be the case even though season 3 is technically adapting book 4, skipping over the main romance featured in book 3. In the wake of such a major change, season 4 could struggle to feel the same as the previous three seasons, even though it will likely feature much of the same onscreen cast.

Based on this precedent, the show may find a way retain its narration while still paying lip service to the gossip page no longer being in operation.
