TheWarzone metais always evolving, as each major update introduces a host of new guns as well as buffs and nerfs to the existing lineup. When Season 2 went live, theModel Lwas the undisputed king, before being replaced by theCypher 091andAK-74in the mid-season update.

However, there’s another Assault Rifle that’s received back-to-back buffs that has quietly become one of the game’s fastest-killing guns — theKrig C.

Krig C is the new meta Assault Rifle in Warzone

In his March 6 video, CoD expert WhosImmortal broke down the time-to-kill of all thebest Assault Rifles in Warzone. He found that the Krig can down a fully-plated enemy in 752ms up to 40 meters, placing it well above the Model L andAMES 85.

It also has a fairly small drop-off, meaning it still kills very quickly up to 50 meters, which is roughly the maximum range you would want to be using an AR at anyway.

In fact, the only guns that could match the Krig in terms of sheer TTK were the AK-74 andAS Val. They could hit speeds of 736 and 737ms respectively, which is a “negligible” difference that you’d never notice in an actual match.

But what makes the Krig the better pick out of the three is just how easy it is to use. The Val has a rapid-fire rate that’s tough to handle, while the AK’s recoil pattern is fairly unpredictable, which makes it difficult to consistently land shots over longer ranges.

Meanwhile, the Krig C is laser-accurate for the first couple of shots before the recoil really kicks in. It can be a little jarring at first, but after a few fights it’s easy to learn and you’ll have no trouble deleting enemies from a distance.
