While it’s impossible for the Stranger to miss his shots, it’s still incredibly exciting to see him twist around in a full circle before planting a solid round into the enemy. In typical fashion, he instantly disappears after completing his dark deed, only making him seem like even more of an ice-cold assassin.

Who Is The Mysterious Stranger In Fallout?

He Wouldn’t Be Very Mysterious If We Knew

While the Mysterious Stranger has been a part of theFalloutfranchise for years, very little is known about his origins which is obviously by design. That being said, Bethesda has dropped some clues which could point fans in the direction of answers. The most popular theory is thatthe players' “Guardian Angel” is the father of the Lonesome Drifter, musician who camps outside of El Dorado Gas & Service inFallout: New Vegas.

While the guitar-playing loner doesn’t provide too many details, the Drifter does briefly speak about his father, noting thatthe man was mysterious and was a “stranger” even to his own family. While that may be pure coincidence, the NPC also carries .44 Revolver that looks very similar to the weapon used by the Mysterious Stranger. Bethesda has never acknowledged whether the familial connection is canon but the dialogue has been enough to satisfy those fans desperate for answers.

Given his inconsistent spawn pattern, its recommend that players who take the perk build into Luckgiven that the stat affects how frequently he appears. Having said that, even if one elects to spec their Sole Surivor in a different direction, the Mysterious Stranger isstill a desirable Perkjust because he’s so much fun to see in action.
