With Superman never staying dead for the whole season, a return to life for the Man of Steel could happen after a couple of episodes. That would serve as enough of a gap for a time skip to presenta new status quo where Lex Luthor came out on top, perhaps.
Clark could then be resurrected and meet with his mourning family, having to deal with the universe' changes and prepare to take down Lex Luthor once and for all.Superman’s death in the first episode ofSuperman & Lois' final season would be a shocking and emotional event, leaving plenty of room for catharsis when he comes back to save the world. The move would raise the stakes for season 4, and it could also see Hoechlin don the black Superman suit from the comics to endSuperman & Loisin style.
