The show stars Stephen Graham as Matthew Collins, a member of the Hope Not Hate activist group, who helped foil a plot to kill Labour MP Rosie Cooper by neo-nazi terrorist organization National Action.

But not everyone liked what they saw. Conservative MP Alicia Kearns asked for assurances in the House of Commons that “threats on the lives of our colleagues are not treated as entertainment.” While Rosie Cooper herselfsaid: “I am appalled at ITV’s recent treatment of the threats to MPs,” and complained that “I have been used as a marketing tool by Hope Not Hate.”
