Summary

Star Warsis finally revealing the history betweenJango Fettand Aurra Sing. Before the prequels, Jango Fett was considered to be one of the greatest bounty hunters of all time, a simple man trying to make his way through the universe. However, one of his biggest jobs ever put him face-to-face withAurra Sing, one of the galaxy’s greatest assassins. As such, their confrontation helps give new meaning to Sing’s primaryClone Warsarc with Jango’s son Boba.

As seen inJango Fett #3by Ethan Sacks and Luke Ross, Fett is continuing his hunt for the “Hope of Glee Anselm”, a valuable relic gifted by Supreme Chancellor Valorum to finally unite Glee Anselm’s rival Anselmi and Nautolan races. However, Aurra Sing was mysteriously freed and hired by a client claiming to work for the Republic who wanted her to get the relic first and to also take out Fett should he prove to be an obstacle. To that end, this new issue sees Aurra finally catching up to Jango Fett, resulting in a brutal brawl:

Star Wars Movies In Order: How To Watch Release Order, Chronologically & With The TV Shows

What’s the best way to watch Star Wars? Here’s everything you need to know to watch in release or timeline order, and how to include the TV shows.

She Could Have Changed The Face Of The Entire Prequel Era

While both Jango and Aurra are incredibly skilled, Fett ends up throwing Sing directly to where she’d dropped her rifle.Putting the bounty hunter directly in her sights, Aurra had Jango dead to rights and could have easily killed him after knocking off his traditional Mandalorian helmet. Had she done so, she would have massively changed the prequel trilogy era ofStar Warsfilms.

If Aurra had chosen to kill Jango before the events ofThe Phantom Menace, there would have been a significant domino effect. He would never have been hired byDarth Tyranus/Dooku, meaning the Republic’s secret clone army would have needed someone else to serve as their genetic template. Likewise, Jango would never have been given Boba by the Kaminoans, an unaltered clone who became Fett’s son and was trained to carry on his legacy. Instead, Aurra makes a very different call.

Setting Up Her Future Clone Wars Arc With Boba

Having determined that her client was not actually from the Republic, Aurra chose to side with Jango. She’d also covertly referenced a past job to convince Fett to intentionally throw her to her rifle, allowing Aurra to instead shoot her mysterious client. Believing a partnership with Jango will grant her a bigger payday, it does seem as though their past as this new job will play significant roles regarding Aurra’s future decision to train young Boba Fett.

DuringThe Clone Wars,Aurra helped Boba Fett in his quest for revenge against his father’s killer Mace Windu.Perhaps Aurra was seeking to honor Jango’s memory and their past by helping his son, even if Boba ultimately decides to part ways with Sing and her more sadistic methods. At any rate, it will be very exciting to see how Jango and Aurra’s new partnership plays out as the series continues.
