Summary
Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #4!Ghost Riderhas always been an insanely powerful force of nature, no matter who the spirit’s chosen host happens to be, though the latest host proves that’s not necessarily the case, as this new one has certainly made a difference when it comes to elevating Ghost Rider’s already immense power. And that assertion has just been proven true with a new power showcased by Ghost Rider that makes him deadlier than the original.
In a preview forGhost Rider: Final Vengeance#4 by Benjamin Percy and Danny Kim,the Hood - who has recently taken up the mantle as the new Ghost Rider- targets a gambling ring in Chicago. The criminal headquarters were in the basement of an otherwise average restaurant, and Ghost Rider snuck in and murdered everyone in the building using his all-new power to do so undetected: invisibility.

So far in theFinal Vengeanceseries, the Hood has proven to be hyper-violent to a degree that Ghost Rider has rarely exhibited before. This was no accident, either, as the Spirit of Vengeance deliberately chose someone who would wholeheartedly accept the demonic power it offered, unlike previous hosts (like Johnny Blaze) who constantly fought Ghost Rider and wanted nothing more than to be rid of it. And now, the Spirit of Vengeance is certainly getting its wish, and this new power to turn invisible will allow Ghost Rider to enact its brutal vengeance more efficiently than ever.
Wolverine’s Hellfire Claws Return as HELLVERINE Brings Back Logan’s Ghost Rider Powers
Wolverine’s Ghost Rider upgrade in the form of the viciously brutal Hellverine is returning to Marvel Comics, complete with his badass hellfire claws!
The Hood Gave Ghost Rider the Power of Invisibility, Making Him the Most Unique Host
Usually, Ghost Rider is the entity that imbues its hosts with untold power, not the other way around. However, in this case, the Hood is the one who upgraded Ghost Rider, as invisibility is something Ghost Rider has never been able to do in the past, yet is an ability the Hood has been flexing for years.
Using the demonic cloak that originated from Dormammu, the Hood has the power to turn invisible for as long as he can hold his breath. Since Ghost Rider doesn’t need to breathe, the Spirit of Vengeance can stay invisible for as long as it needs to, thanks to the pre-existing power of its host.

The Hood is Proving to be the Deadliest Ghost Rider in Marvel History
Parker Robbins has a long history in Marvel Comics of studying and acquiring occult artifacts of power. Robbins’ Hood is only one of the many objects of otherworldly power he wields, not to mention his practice in mysticism and spell-casting. In other words, the Hood is an extremely powerful and utterly ruthless character in Marvel canon (proven true whenthe Hood wielded the Infinity Gauntlet), and the addition of the Spirit of Vengeance has not only elevated his own deadliness, but that of Ghost Rider, making him the deadliest version of the demonic antihero in history.
While this assuredly won’t be the last new power wielded by Ghost Rider so long as the Spirit of Vengeance stays bonded to the Hood, it’s certainly one of the most terrifying, as it allows him to remain totally undetected by his victims until it’s too late (for them). With the power of invisibility, Marvel’s new Ghost Rider is easily deadlier than the original Johnny Blaze, and arguably any otherGhost Riderbefore him.

Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #4by Marvel Comics is available July 13, 2025.
