As confirmed by the official X/Twitter account ofNetflix Anime, the movies will soon be making their way to the platform. Part 1 was released in Japanese cinemas on July 16, 2025, and the second on June 15, 2025.

These movies will adapt the climactic battle of the Star Galactica arc, the series' fifth and final arc. In their quest to collect Sailor Crystals, the villainesses from the evil empire target Earth after exploring and collecting crystals from around the Milky Way. Sailor Galaxia, who has been corrupted by the malevolent entity Chaos, is on a quest to dominate the universe by stealing the Star Seeds, which are the essence of all celestial beings. Sailor Moon and the Sailor Starlights, who are new allies with mysterious origins, join forces to combat Galaxia’s minions, the Sailor Animamates.

Produced by Toei Animation (One Piece,Dragon Ball) together with Studio Deen (UruseiYatsura,Fruits Basket), these movies are part of theSailor Moon Crystalanime series. This anime project is a reboot of the global hit Sailor Moon that was supervised by the creator, Naoko Takeuchi. Besides the fantastic animation and beautiful, glamorous visuals, this reboot is a faithful adaptation of the manga, cutting out unnecessary scenes from the original anime, and providing a better alternative for interested fans.
