Summary

Stardew Valleymay be a game filled with magic and whimsy, butevery so often a glitch comes around that takes the idyllic farming simulator and turns into something exceptionally bizarre. While itsencouraged that the Farmer make friendswith all the residents of Pelican Town as soon as possible, one citizen only shows up half way through the game’s second year due his work in this military. Kent is a divisive character and while he may not be everyone’s favorite, those who do identify with the veteran adore him and his gruff ways.

Yet that tough exterior wasn’t enough to save Kent from the glitch experienced by Reddit userInitiativeFluid9082, who shared a bizarre clip of their farm whereKent has seemingly been transformed into multiple pigs.

The bug sees the character’s portrait replace the model of the farm animalas it flashes in and out of existence with every step the swine takes. It’s undoubtedly a strange occurrence, made all the more confusing by the fact that it happened on a vanilla version ofStardew Valleygiven that InitiativeFluid9082 insists that don’t have mods installed.

Stardew Valley Has Some Hilarious Glitches

Kent Is Just Scratching The Surface

While Kent may have a tendency to rub people the wrong way, turning him into a pig seems like a bridge to far. Perhaps the funniest part of the glitch is the fact thatfour miniaturized version of his character model are used to seemingly represent piglets; Aside from the fact that they’re pigs, the tiny version of the tough military man is funny in and of itself. Whether or not the glitch can be replicated remains to be seen but users will undoubtedly be trying to achieve similar results in their games.

Kent’s piggy glitch isn’t the only hilarious bug inStardew Valleyas players have spent thousands of hours rooting around the game touncover secrets that shouldn’t exist. A firm favorite amongst the community isthe ability to leave the Farmer’s horse behind the ice cream which turns the creature into Alexand allows players to purchase desserts even when the shop is closed. Another popular glitch involves placing and leaping over chairs to access areas that were previously locked off.

GivenStardew Valley’s incredibly active community,it’s highly likely that developer ConcernedApe leaves in some of the game’s more fun bugsthat don’t necessarily break the experience. There’s already plenty of players that spend their days trying to figure out optimal routes and paths soproviding some additional benefitsthrough a strange glitch doesn’t seem like a terrible idea. Having said that, waking up to discover a farm full of Kents instead of pigs may be too terrifying a prospect for some.
