Jason Todd’s life has beendefined by conflictand a sense of abandonment. Losing both parents set him up for a rough life alone, while being Batman’s son and sidekick introduced further difficulties. He has never fully distanced himself from the sense of betrayal he felt after hisdeath at Joker’s hands, and Batman’s wholly inadequate response.
