The ability to traverse the galaxy in an instant raises all kinds of storytelling possibilities for the Energon Universe.

The bridge established from Cybertron to Earth by Shockwave and Soundwave is agame-changer for the Energon Universe, and could lead to a massive crossover between all current EU titles. The arrival of Shockwave inTransformers#9 caused havoc for the Autobots, resulting in Jazz and Cliffjumper being taken prisoner after the Autobots suffered a crushing defeat, though they managed to render the bridge inoperable, for now. The Decepticons are the ruling faction on Cybertron, so Shockwave has a literal army he could call to Earth, once the damaged portal is fixed by the stranded Decepticons.
