Twitch star Jinny attacked while streaming in France
IRL Twitch streamer Jinny was randomly attacked on the streets of Toulouse, France, with the assailant physically striking her camera.
Jinny is one of Twitch’s most popular IRL streamers with over one million followers on the Amazon-owned platform alone. The globe trotter has been to numerous countries and takes her viewers on her journeys, which are often filled with all sorts ofwild antics.
As is the norm forJinny, her streams often have a way of getting a bit crazy, even when she’s just minding her own business and that’s what happened on May 8 when she was checking out the city of Toulouse.
During her broadcast, the streamer was suddenly attacked by a man without warning, prompting concern from viewers who were worried about her safety.
Man attacks Jinny on Twitch as IRL assaults continue
While on the road chatting with her viewers about a ride-share app, a man on a scooter drove by and spotted her. A few moments later, he pulled up near her and started a confrontation.
According toFrench media, the man erroneously called the Korean streamer ‘Chinese’ and smacked her camera before hurling insults at her.

“Why are you filming? Dirty b*tch. Get out of here!” he shouted.
Jinny was unharmed, but she was shocked by the random attack, especially considering she wasn’t going out of her way to film the man.
“What the f**k was that?” she asked. “I was filming my face. I wasn’t pointing at him, I was just showing him and then he went behind in the background. This is a public area.”

Despite viewers urging her to go to the police, Jinny declined, not believing there was anything they could do to help her.
That hasn’t stopped others from alerting the authorities to the incident and demanding they take action.

“Are we going to let this idiot’s violence go unpunished in front of thousands of people around the world? It would be good to do something to find him,” one user tweeted, tagging multiple French police accounts.
The city’s Deputy Mayor Emilion Esnaultalso responded to the attackand vowed to get justice for the streamer.
“Full support for Jinnytty, the streamer insulted and attacked during a live stream in Toulouse,” he said. “Like too many people in Toulouse, she has been subjected to unacceptable behavior. Justice must be firm to end this impunity.”
This latest incident comes amid a rise in violence against female streamers. Back in March, Valkyrae and Cinna made headlines after they wereattacked by a man on Santa Monica Pier.
That same night, a group of armedthieves broke into Amouranth’s houseand pistol-whipped her, trying to steal crypto. The streamer was able to lead the teens to a part of her house where her husband was waiting with a firearm of his own and shot one of the men, saving his wife.
